Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Trowbridge Oaks Care Home in Wiltshire. You will join a friendly kitchen team, assisting chefs, plating meals, and helping deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents.

This permanent part-time role (17 hours) pays £13.10–£14.10 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include free meals on every shift, 28 days holiday, and access to Bupa wellbeing and pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Desire to deliver an excellent dining experience for residents.
• Ability to communicate well with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
