Job summary

Bupa in Wilmslow is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our care home team and help deliver a warm, delicious dining experience for residents.

You will assist chefs with plating meals, prepare food trolleys, keep preparation areas clean, monitor stock rotation, and help catering for events, all while upholding high hygiene standards. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a passion for food are required, with excellent communication with the wider kitchen and care home teams.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Deliver excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home.
• Maintain high standards in and around the home to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitoring stock rotation and complying with COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
