Job summary

Colten Care in Poole is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join our kitchen teams across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. You will assist the Head Chef in preparing home cooked meals from local produce.

The role focuses on nutritious, balanced dishes, supporting dietary needs, and collaborating with a friendly team to deliver a warm, resident-focused dining experience. Excellent training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
• City & Guilds 706 1/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering / Cookery is desirable.
• Able to follow menus and dietary requirements accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef to prepare a variety of home cooked meals.
• Provide nutritionally balanced meals across mealtimes.
• Support catering for dietary needs and special events.
• Assist with training and development of new starters and cover Kitchen Assistant when required.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen following H&S and Food Hygiene rules.
