Job summary

Urbanbubble Ltd in Manchester is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the community operations for a flagship Starlight development. You will partner with Starlight and urbanbubble to deliver outstanding resident experiences while managing the onsite team and day-to-day building operations.

This role focuses on safety, service quality, compliance, and performance reporting, with responsibility for budget oversight and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property management or Build to Rent.
• Strong knowledge of building operations, compliance and Health & Safety.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing people.
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and contractors.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with residents, clients and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Experience in a Build to Rent environment is desirable.
• IOSH Managing Safely or other Health & Safety qualification.
• First Aid, Fire Marshal or Mental Health First Aid qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site team and develop the onsite team.
• Deliver operational, commercial and customer success of the development.
• Oversee resident services including parcel management, amenity bookings, housekeeping and key security.
• Manage budgets, purchase orders, invoices and operational expenditure.
• Contribute to client reporting, operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the General Manager's deputy and take ownership of day-to-day operations.
• Ensure safety and high standards across all areas of the building.
• Drive resident satisfaction, engagement and retention.
