Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd. is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer to be a visible, approachable contact for residents during home improvement works. You will explain timelines, coordinate appointments and ensure commitments are followed through.

The role combines home visits, on-site activity and administration, delivering a positive resident experience while supporting smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or in social housing is beneficial.
• Strong communication in plain English.
• Able to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism.
• Organised and able to prioritise workloads and meet commitments.
• Willingness to travel regularly across East London and Essex.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with residents through home visits, calls, letters and meetings.
• Explain planned works, timescales and disruption; provide timely updates.
• Complete resident profiles and pre-start records with consent.
• Understand residents' circumstances, communication preferences and support needs.
• Coordinate appointments and follow up missed access attempts.
• Listen to enquiries and resolve issues with relevant teams.
• Report welfare or safeguarding concerns through appropriate channels.
• Work with site managers and client representatives to ensure commitments.
• Maintain records in Total Mobile and trackers including visits and photos.
• Support completion, handover and aftercare with residents.
• Encourage resident feedback and participation in surveys.
• Follow health and safety and lone-working procedures.
