Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a Resident Engagement Lead on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role is home-based with regular travel across Housing 21 locations, including Birmingham head office.

The successful candidate will develop and drive resident engagement strategy and ensure resident voices influence service design and delivery. Leading engagement activities, you will work with stakeholders up to Board level to implement innovative plans that improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading and embedding a resident engagement strategy across large, geographically dispersed organisations.
• Understanding of what makes excellent resident engagement and its importance to residents and the organisation.
• Experience introducing innovative ideas to increase influence, impact and visibility of engagement activities.
• Experience removing barriers to participation to broaden resident input and influence decisions.
• Knowledge of the Social Housing Regulator’s Consumer Standards.
• A levels or Level 3 diploma, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Holds an Ofqual Level 4 Senior Housing & Property Management Apprenticeship / CIH Level 4 or equivalent or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the resident engagement strategy and related initiatives across Housing 21.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve engagement plans for Extra Care and Retirement Living.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders up to Board level to ensure resident voice informs decisions.
• Measure and evidence changes resulting from resident insight and involvement.
• Support operational teams to deliver engagement activities and strengthen resident influence.
