Job summary

Wiltshire Council in Salisbury is seeking a Resident Engagement Officer to join the Housing Operations team. You will recruit, train and monitor tenant volunteers and lead activities to improve resident involvement across our services.

The role requires excellent communication, project coordination, and the ability to meet deadlines. Some evening/weekend work is required. Hybrid working is in place, with on-site and community-based duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in resident engagement or community development.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and deliver to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and monitor tenant volunteers for projects.
• Engage with residents and promote participation across services.
• Maintain an Involvement Register and organise meetings/drop-ins in the community.
• Occasional evening and weekend work for Housing Management events.
