Job summary

Renaissance Care (Scotland) invites applications for a passionate Kitchen Assistant at Meadowlark Care Home. 19 hours per week, join our friendly catering team to prepare and serve nutritious meals and support residents in a hospitality-style dining experience.

You will work with the kitchen team, maintain cleanliness, follow food hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP, and engage with residents. A Basic Food Hygiene certificate and good teamwork are preferred; many benefits available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork required.
• Good eye for detail and caring approach.
• Experience in a similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of nutritious meals for residents.
• Set up and clear dining areas, maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure safety standards and food hygiene protocols are followed in kitchen and dining areas.
• Engage with residents to support a hospitality-style dining experience and promote resident choice.
• Contribute to developing seasonal menus and catering to dietary needs.
