Job summary

Lily in Greater London is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support the Unit Manager and deliver high‑quality personal care, ensuring residents’ dignity and independence. You will work under supervision to provide personal care and assist with clinical duties as part of a dedicated care team.

The role emphasises teamwork, effective communication and adherence to care plans, with opportunities for training and professional development within a regulated home environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SNVQ level 3 required (or working towards) with experience caring for residents.
• Knowledge and experience in the adult care sector.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver personal care interventions, including washing, dressing, bathing, continence support, oral hygiene, grooming, mobility assistance, and nutritional/hydration support.
• Provide compassionate end‑of‑life care as part of the palliative care pathway.
• Promote independence and involve residents in their care.
• Work with nurses on clinical tasks within your competency, including Medication Management and Administration.
• Undertake medication competency per guidelines.
• Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of personalised care plans.
• Maintain records and report changes in condition.
• Support nurses in supervising care staff and participate in training.
• Be aware of policies and regulatory framework.
