Job summary

Healthcare Ireland Group is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Co-Ordinator for Weavers House in Cookstown to plan and run engaging activities for up to 65 residents. The role focuses on social, physical and cognitive interaction in a compassionate home environment.

You will collaborate with the care team, families and external partners to tailor a varied timetable of recreational and therapeutic activities, supporting residents to thrive each day.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of written and verbal English.
• Well-developed communication, observational and active listening skills.
• Experience in related field.
• The Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, planning and delivering group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting resident response.
• Engage with residents in one-on-one or group activities based on their interest and preferences.
• Setting up and organising activity areas, including gathering supplies, arranging furniture and displaying materials.
• Stay informed about best practices and trends in wellbeing and activities for residents.
• Undertake any other duties designated by the Home Manager.
