Job summary

Care South is seeking an Activities Assistant for St Ives House in Ringwood. The role involves delivering a varied programme of social activities for residents, including those living with dementia, and assisting with event planning to promote wellbeing and community.

You will be a warm, energetic communicator who helps residents stay engaged, supported by a friendly team in a home environment. Flexible hours, with weekend work, 32 hours per week.

• You are warm, energetic and outgoing with excellent communication skills.
• Able to plan and coordinate activities and manage time effectively.
• Enjoy engaging with people and building meaningful experiences.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver a varied programme of social and therapeutic activities for residents, including those living with dementia.
• Assist in planning a calendar of events to promote wellbeing, connection and enjoyment.
• Observe residents’ needs and raise concerns with the care team as appropriate.
