Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a proactive Student Engagement & Development Coordinator to drive Residence Life communications and promote events across digital channels.

You will work with the Residence Life team, ACS Marketing and other offices to analyse data, publish web content, and coordinate staffing and events while ensuring excellent student and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level standard (or equivalent qualifications/work experience).
• Experience of producing and delivering communications to a targeted audience, ideally with significant social media experience.
• Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Including relevant creative software (e.g. Illustrator, Publisher, Canva).
• Experience of CMS platforms and webpage maintenance.
• Ability to effectively create and communicate reports to a range of stakeholders.
• Experience of developing and maintaining a network of relationships including external service providers.
• Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to coordinate staffing rotas and plan event delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills including customer service.
• Ability to use initiative, work independently and adapt to change.
• Willingness to support the delivery of the programme, including hosting and delivering events (including families events with Under 18s).

Responsibilities

• Lead on implementation of Residence Life communication strategies, including development of articles and promotion of events via webpages, newsletters, emails and social media.
• Collaborate with managers and ACS Marketing to analyse data, produce reports and advise on service improvements.
• Coordinate content for Residence Life webpages and update as needed.
• Attend Marketing team meetings with ACS Marketing.
• Maintain knowledge of HE sector best practice and suggest new ideas.
• Manage staffing rotas and payroll data with Student Support Managers.
• Represent Residence Life at Open Days, Housing and Activities Fairs and other events.
• Demonstrate the ACS Vision, Mission and Values in daily work; uphold Shared Skills & Behaviours Framework.
