Job summary

voco Southampton is seeking a Reservations and Events Manager to maximise enquiry conversion, manage reservations, and deliver outstanding events for clients. This role requires strong communication, meticulous organisation, and a solid grasp of revenue management and pricing strategies.

You will lead reservations processes, coordinate events, and work with the revenue team to optimise performance in a dynamic hospitality environment. 40 hours per week across 5 days, with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in reservations, events management, or a similar role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of revenue management and pricing strategies.
• Ability to analyze market data and competitor information.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all business on the books is robust and accurate by adhering to company processes and procedures.
• Operate all reservation systems to the required standards set by Valor and the brand.
• Implement pricing and selling strategies for all market segments to achieve budgets and targets.
• Maintain up-to-date competitor information and visit competitor hotels as needed.
• Conduct showrounds to highlight the hotel's features and services to potential clients.
• Be commercially aware, using demand calendars and market data to inform decisions.
• Comply with all statutory and company requirements related to cash handling, credit procedures, and safety.
