As our next Reservations & Event Coordinator, you…

Are the ‘face of Novotel Cambridge North’, extending a warm welcome to our guests, prioritizing their well-being, and adding your personal touch to their stay.

A little more information:

You will be trained in all front-of-house functions and safety procedures to support your success.

Main responsibilities:

  • Check daily reservations from all platforms (Accor, Booking.com, Expedia, FITs, etc.)
  • Ensure all backups, comments, payments are correctly set
  • Check OTA commissions daily
  • Submit weekly commissions via Fastcom
  • Update trackers daily (e.g., No-show, Cxl)
  • Manage reservations and inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Become an expert on hotel rooms and events to handle initial inquiries confidently
  • Conduct hotel show-arounds professionally
  • Support group bookings throughout the process and liaise with departments
  • Be the first point of contact for client inquiries regarding accommodation and events
  • Coordinate events, including corporate bookings, private functions, and weddings
  • Arrange and conduct hotel tours to promote accommodations and meeting spaces
  • Build rapport with key clients to understand their needs and identify future opportunities
  • Provide detailed event plans to hotel operations to ensure client requirements are met
  • Maintain reservation system accuracy
  • Respond to booking inquiries promptly to secure bookings
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud is preferable
  • Plan and execute group reservations, conferences, and events seamlessly
  • Coordinate with internal departments for event logistics
  • Manage event budgets within financial parameters
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the event planning and execution
  • Handle last-minute issues professionally
  • Conduct post-event evaluations for continuous improvement
  • Be available to work weekdays and weekends, including early and late shifts
