An exciting opportunity has arisen within the evolving area of human nutrition research at the Institute of Metabolic Science (https://www.ims.cam.ac.uk/). We are seeking a research nurse to join our efforts to increase knowledge in human metabolism. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with Dr. Maria Chondronikola's and Professor Sir Stephen O'Rahilly's groups at the University of Cambridge, within a highly collaborative and world-leading institute.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual as a Research Nurse. The post holder will communicate with a broad professional group, members of the public, and research sponsors, requiring excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. We seek a flexible, motivated team player with significant nursing experience and an interest in research. Experience in human physiology/metabolism and/or clinical research is advantageous. The post involves recruiting and coordinating studies in this research area.
Fixed Term: The post is initially available for 1 year with potential extension.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (enhanced with adults' barred list), a basic criminal records check, a health assessment, and a security check. The appointment also requires NMC Registration, a Research Passport, and an Honorary Clinical Contract.
