This role will support the Chemical Analysis Facility that is situated in a number of buildings based on our beautiful Whiteknights campus. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual who will be able to apply their strong organisational skills to work alongside the Technical Head and a team of technical staff to establish new administrative ways of working to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the facility. This is a varied and interesting role that offers the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of activities, including learning about implementing a booking and usage system that will transform our research facility administrative processes.

You will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to ensure effective liaison and communication at all levels, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to initiate and use judgement to resolve problems independently
  • Proven experience and familiarity with IT systems such online processes and using and maintaining databases and record systems
  • Ability to adapt and respond to evolving project needs
  • Experience of working in a complex environment within an administrative role
