Job summary

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is seeking a Research Engagement and Involvement Co-ordinator to support public and patient involvement across its research programme in a hybrid role based in Northampton. You will coordinate webinars, events and other engagement activities, support participation opportunities, and help produce accessible communications with people affected by MND.

Qualifications

• Graduate calibre or equivalent in biological sciences, public engagement or communications.
• Experience supporting public engagement or involvement activities.
• Experience working with diverse communities or in people-focused roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence using a range of digital tools, systems and online platforms.
• Knowledge of public and patient involvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate webinars, workshops, events, podcasts and other engagement activities that connect researchers and the MND community.
• Support the delivery of public and patient involvement and engagement activities across the research programme.
• Help coordinate research participation opportunities through the Take Part in Research webpage.
• Provide administrative support for meetings, communications and documentation.
• Co-produce engagement resources with people affected by MND.
• Support focus groups, surveys and other activities that gather community perspectives.
• Work with colleagues across teams to promote consistent and accessible communications.
• Maintain accurate records, evaluation data and reports, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
