Qualifications

  • PhD in materials science or metallurgy required with significant experience in Titanium alloys, materials characterization and microstructure analysis.
  • Experience in metal additive manufacturing and mechanical-property evaluation is essential.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills; track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manufacture experimental samples; optimise additive manufacturing processing conditions.
  • Characterise metal powder feedstock; analyse particle size, flowability, SEM.
  • Prepare metallographic samples; perform microstructure characterization (XRD, SEM, EBSD).
  • Conduct mechanical testing to evaluate properties of alloys; interpret results.
  • Prepare technical reports and disseminate findings to project partners and journals.
  • Collaborate with team and partners to meet project milestones; present findings.
