Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology and genetics or closely related discipline.
• Significant experience in genetic approaches to population control of disease-vector mosquitoes.
• Track record of publication in relevant refereed journals.
• Proficiency with genome editing tools like CRISPR/Cas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute research to design, build and test gene drives.
• Publish results in refereed journals and present at conferences.
• Lead and mentor small teams and train junior staff and students.
• Prepare grant requests and compile quarterly sponsor reports.
• Coordinate with an international consortium on malaria vector control.
