Applications are invited for a fellowship focused on cross-cultural social psychology, jointly hosted by GCHQ and the University of Manchester. The fellowship lasts approximately 12 months, with potential extension.
Fellows will undertake a research project aligned with GCHQ's interests and national security, aiming for publication in academic journals and internal use within the security community. The position offers experience in two distinct research environments and navigating their complexities.
Fellows will be based at the University of Manchester with mentorship from both university and GCHQ staff. Regular attendance at GCHQ's Manchester office is expected, so applicants should be located in the North-West or willing to relocate.
Applicants should have completed or be close to completing a relevant PhD, with expertise in cross-cultural psychology, social psychology, or social influence. This should be detailed in the application letter, and shortlisted candidates will present their expertise at interview.
