The University of Manchester seeks a dedicated professional to support innovative projects in breast cancer prevention and diabetes management. This role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals and researchers, focusing on improving patient outcomes through qualitative research and ethical practices. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for extension beyond the initial twelve months.
The main purpose of this post is to support several projects related to prevention and early detection of breast cancer, as well as digital health interventions to support self-management in people with type 2 diabetes. These projects involve working with patients and healthcare professionals in healthcare settings, focusing on implementing innovative interventions and reducing inequalities in access.
The main duties include obtaining PPIE input, securing ethical clearance, and conducting and analyzing qualitative data from patients and healthcare professionals. The successful applicant will contribute to broader programmes in these areas.
The position is based at the Manchester Centre of Health Psychology (http://research.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/healthpsychology) and involves working within a multidisciplinary team, particularly with Prof David French, as well as collaborating with other researchers on related projects.
This post is available for twelve months initially, with the possibility of extension.
