The main purpose of this post is to support several projects that are either ongoing or in the process of currently being set up. These projects relate to prevention and early detection of breast cancer and digital health interventions to support self-management in people with type 2 diabetes. They will involve working with people in a healthcare setting as well as healthcare professionals. The projects have a focus on implementation of innovative interventions, and aim to reduce inequalities in access.
The main duties will involve obtaining PPIE input, obtaining ethical clearance, and conduct and analysis of qualitative data from patients and healthcare professionals. The present post will involve contributing to wider programmes of work in these areas.
The successful applicant will be based in the Manchester Centre of Health Psychology http://research.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/healthpsychology and be part of a wider multidisciplinary team, working particularly with Prof David French, but will also involve working closely with other researchers on these and related projects.
The post is available for twelve months in the first instance, but with expectation that further posts will be available at the end of this period.
