The University of Manchester seeks a dedicated individual to support innovative health projects aimed at breast cancer prevention and diabetes management. This role involves engaging with patients and healthcare professionals, conducting qualitative research, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team. The position offers a chance to make a significant impact on health interventions while enjoying a supportive work environment with flexible arrangements.
The main purpose of this post is to support several projects related to the prevention and early detection of breast cancer, as well as digital health interventions to support self-management in people with type 2 diabetes. These projects involve working with patients and healthcare professionals in healthcare settings, focusing on implementing innovative interventions and reducing inequalities in access.
The main duties include obtaining PPIE input, securing ethical clearance, and conducting and analyzing qualitative data from patients and healthcare professionals. The successful applicant will contribute to wider programmes in these areas.
The post is based at the Manchester Centre of Health Psychology (http://research.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/healthpsychology) and will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working mainly with Prof David French, as well as other researchers on related projects.
The position is initially available for twelve months, with the possibility of extension.
