Development Scientist

We are working with a specialist biotechnology organisation developing complex biological products within a regulated R&D environment. This is a hands on development role with a strong focus on analytical and biochemical method development, validation and product characterisation.

You will sit within a multidisciplinary development team and play a key role in building, improving and validating analytical methods that directly support product development and progression.

What you will be doing
  • Developing, optimising and validating analytical methods to support biological product development
  • Designing and running ELISA based assays for characterisation, release and stability testing
  • Performing HPLC and related chromatographic techniques for purity, identity and consistency assessment
  • Applying wet chemistry and protein chemistry techniques across development studies
  • Troubleshooting methods and improving robustness, reproducibility and performance
  • Analysing data, interpreting results and feeding conclusions into development decisions
  • Writing and reviewing protocols, validation reports and technical documentation in line with quality requirements
  • Supporting technology transfer, method handover and cross functional development activities
What we are looking for
