Job summary

Axis CLC Group is seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to lead a mobile team delivering damp and mould repairs across our housing portfolio. You will oversee day‑to‑day supervision, performance management and service quality, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to Axis’s high standards.

This hands‑on leadership role requires strong trade knowledge, excellent organisation and communication skills, CSCS and supervisory safety training (SSSTS/SMSTS or IOSH preferred), and a

• Strong multi-trade knowledge and hands-on leadership.
• Understanding of RAMS, safety, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of operatives and subcontractors delivering damp and mould repairs.
• Monitor cases to completion with clear records and audit trails for compliance.
• Ensure works are raised, prioritised and completed within SLAs with focus on resident safety.
• Maintain safety via toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Mentor apprentices and develop team capability in line with Axis standards.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to lead a team of trade operatives with a focus on Damp and Mould cases. You’ll be responsible for day‑to‑day supervision, performance management, and service quality, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to Axis’s high standards.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong trade knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a mobile workforce delivering first‑time fixes and great resident experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive damp and mould repairs
• Monitor damp and mould cases through to completion, maintaining clear records, updates and audit trails in line with compliance requirements
• Ensure all damp and mould works are raised, prioritised and completed within agreed SLAs, with a strong focus on resident safety and wellbeing
• Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice, including the Social Housing (Regulation) requirements and Awaab’s Law principles
• Manage productivity, performance and quality through regular monitoring and site visits
• Review completed works, coding accuracy and justification for variations
• Liaise with planners, administrators and client teams to maintain smooth workflow and accurate reporting
• Deliver toolbox talks, risk assessments and site inspections, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Support with resource planning and coordination of out‑of‑hours service where required
• Build strong working relationships with residents, clients and colleagues, maintaining professionalism at all times
• Mentor apprentices and develop team capability in line with Axis standards

About You

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor or Senior Operative in social housing or property maintenance with a bias / specialism with damp and mould
• Excellent technical knowledge across multiple trades
• Understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and compliance processes
• Experience managing teams and monitoring performance metrics
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, mobile work management systems)
• CSCS card and supervisory safety training (SSSTS / SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
