Job summary

Tempest Resourcing Limited is seeking a proactive Repairs Officer to own the responsive repairs and voids service for a community-focused housing provider. You will manage end-to-end repairs, raise work orders, coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance across all activities.

The role demands strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management, with the ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering excellent service to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience managing responsive repairs and voids in social housing.
• Knowledge of housing maintenance and property compliance.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Managing responsive repairs from initial report through to completion.
• Raising work orders, obtaining quotes and instructing contractors.
• Carrying out pre and post inspections.
• Monitoring contractor performance and quality of works.
• Managing void properties to minimise turnaround times.
• Identifying and escalating complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair and other high-risk issues.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Delivering excellent customer service to residents at every stage.

We are working with a community-focused housing provider managing approximately 700 homes, seeking a proactive and customer-focused Repairs Officer to take ownership of their responsive repairs and voids service.
