Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a highly capable Rental Returns Manager to oversee the vehicle returns process, ensuring quality checks, scheduling efficiency, and seamless fleet turnover. You will lead a Returns team, manage suppliers, and maintain high customer service standards across a busy operation in London.

The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and the ability to analyse data to drive improvements while coordinating with rental and fleet teams to optimise fleet

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in vehicle rental, automotive, or logistics environments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills are required.
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities are essential.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, damage assessment, and stock control is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle returns process, ensuring quality checks and efficient operations.
• Develop and manage return schedules to optimize vehicle availability and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with rental and fleet teams for effective vehicle management.
• Handle customer interactions professionally, addressing concerns and improving service.
• Manage vehicle inspections, damage assessments, and coordinate repairs.
• Lead and motivate returns team, set targets, and provide coaching and training.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate SLAs, and monitor performance.
• Track vehicle availability, condition, and manage stock audits for compliance.
• Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

• Full UK driving license
