Avis Budget Group in Bracknell is seeking a data-driven Residual Value Analyst to own RV topics for a group of countries. You will forecast residual values, set pricing reserves for remarketing, and evaluate new-vehicle deals for in-fleeting, delivering insights to senior stakeholders.

The role combines hands-on data analysis with regular reporting and presentation to the RV Manager, working across Remarketing, Procurement and Finance teams. Hybrid working regime applies.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in residual values, pricing, remarketing or fleet analytics.
• Strong understanding of RV concepts and depreciation.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI or SQL is a plus.
• Experience using AI tools to speed up analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Residual Value Analyst in Car Rental Industry

Job Type: Permanent Employment

Location: Bracknell Head Office Based (Hybrid Working 4 days in office, 1 from home)

Role Overview

We are looking for a data-driven Residual Value Analyst to own end-to-end Residual Value topics for an assigned group of countries within our international fleet. This is a broad, business-facing role: you will forecast residual values, set pricing reserves for remarketing, and evaluate new-vehicle deals for in-fleeting for a number of countries.

You will help create, develop and apply the central RV methodology to local market conditions, and act as the go-to RV partner for local Remarketing, Procurement, Finance and Fleet Planning teams in your countries. The role combines hands-on data analysis with regular reporting and presentation to senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain Residual Value forecasts for your assigned countries, applying the team's central methodology to local market data and conditions.
• Set and maintain pricing reserves for remarketing units in your countries, balancing recovery value against disposal speed.
• Evaluate deals for new vehicles proposed for in-fleeting, providing RV-based analysis and sign-off within delegated authority.
• Analyse local used-vehicle market trends, OEM incentive and repurchase programme terms, and macroeconomic indicators specific to each of your countries.
• Collaborate with local Remarketing, Procurement and Fleet Planning teams to validate assumptions and align on disposal strategy.
• Monitor fleet cycling and de-fleet timing to optimise RV realisation across disposal channels (auction, retail, digital, export).
• Prepare country-level RV reports, dashboards and presentations for the RV Manager and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Escalate model issues to the Data Analyst and feedback local market intelligence to help refine the central methodology.
• Track EV and alternative-fuel residual value trends specific to your markets, given evolving regulatory and demand dynamics.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and build business cases to support local Procurement and Remarketing decisions as they arise.
• Benchmark local RV performance against external market data providers and competitor trends.

What You’ll Bring

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in residual values, pricing, remarketing or fleet analytics in the automotive, leasing or rental sector.
• Strong understanding of Residual Values, depreciation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and manufacturer repurchase/buy-back programme structures relevant to rental fleets.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, dashboards); knowledge of Power BI or SQL is a +.
• Practical, hands‑on use of AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up market research, data analysis and report/presentation drafting - combined with the judgement to check and validate AI-generated output before using it in RV decisions.
• Familiarity with RV data tools relevant to your countries (Eurotax, CAP HPI, DAT, Autovista, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management skills — able to work effectively across departments and cultures. Comfortable presenting analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders, adapting messaging to different audiences.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities independently across multiple countries.
