Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a proactive Rental Controller to manage our rental fleet across the East Midlands. You will be the central contact for customers, drivers, engineers and internal teams, ensuring equipment is deployed efficiently and customer requirements are met.

The role offers a £31,000 per annum salary, a bonus, 32 days holiday, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, Bupa Health Care, pension and parking, on a permanent basis, with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day coordination of a large rental fleet across the East Midlands.
• Process customer enquiries, quotations, orders, extensions, and off-hires.
• Ensure fleet utilisation is maximised whilst maintaining high service levels.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, collections, and exchanges to meet deadlines.
• Build strong relationships with customers and understand their operational needs.
• Work with Service, Transport, Workshop, and Sales teams for seamless service.
• Monitor fleet availability and plan allocation effectively.
• Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, and system updates.
• Identify opportunities to increase rental revenue and customer retention.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Rental Controller to take responsibility for managing our rental fleet across the East Midlands. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organisational skills, strong commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

As Rental Controller, you will be the central point of contact for customers, drivers, engineers, and internal teams, ensuring equipment is deployed efficiently, customer requirements are met, and fleet utilisation is maximised.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day coordination of a large rental fleet operating across the East Midlands.
• Process customer enquiries, quotations, orders, extensions, and off-hires.
• Ensure fleet utilisation is maximised whilst maintaining high service levels.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, collections, and exchanges to meet customer deadlines.
• Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their operational needs and providing effective rental solutions.
• Work closely with Service, Transport, Workshop, and Sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor fleet availability and plan equipment allocation effectively.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, and system updates.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to increase rental revenue and customer retention

We would expect the successful Rental Controller to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, be an excellent communicator and have a friendly confident telephone manner. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked within hire controller, service controller or fleet coordinator position.

You will be joining the Corby branch of a well established company with an enviable reputation in their field. Working directly with the Branch Manager, this role offers variety on a daily basis.
