Job summary

Rubicon Consulting is recruiting a Project Controller on a 12 month contract based in Newcastle. You will support the financial execution of service projects across the UK and Ireland, maintaining SAP data, forecasting and billing activities, and ensuring compliance with standards.

The role requires strong finance experience, SAP knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Finance experience is essential with project-controlling background.
• Forecasting, reporting, budgeting, cost control or billing experience.
• Fluent English with strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project lifecycle in SAP from order booking to order closure.
• Forecasting, budgeting, monthly variance analysis of cost centres.
• Invoice preparation, customer billing, and active cash-in follow-up.
• Monitoring accounts receivable, resolving billing or payment issues.
• Supporting Commercial Project Managers with reporting and analysis.
• Handling internal charging or personnel hiring-out.
• Supporting audits and internal controls with accurate documentation.
• This is a hands-on execution role: accuracy, timing, reliability and prioritisation.
