Job summary

Magpie Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Controller to join its UK operation, supporting project managers and senior leaders with financial insight. You will monitor costs, analyse performance against budgets, and provide clear financial information to drive decisions, while acting as a key ERP and reporting system user.

You will contribute to process improvements, deliver training on finance tools, and support continuous-improvement initiatives across Finance, IT, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controlling, financial controlling or commercial finance.
• Experience in project-led, construction, energy or infrastructure environments is advantageous.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance of projects and business units.
• Review expenditure against budgets and identify variances.
• Provide monthly forecasts, performance reports and KPIs.
• Maintain project and financial data in the ERP system.
• Support ERP users with queries and issues.
