Job summary
Eaton's UK Electrical division is seeking a UPS Field Service Engineer to provide expert service across the country, maintaining and repairing UPS systems to ensure reliability for hyperscale data centres and industrial customers.
You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, configure remote monitoring software, and communicate with stakeholders while adhering to safety policies. A HNC or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
Qualifications
- Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
- Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP.
- Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA or process control)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on UPS systems.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing installed base.
- Perform repairs on all types of UPS systems, including standalone and parallel configurations.
- Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on technical matters.
