Job summary

GXO Logistics is expanding into the UK aerospace and defence sector, seeking a Trade Compliance Senior Manager to shape and embed robust processes. The role is largely remote, with travel across the UK and Europe, including Northampton meetings approximately once or twice per month.

You will lead ITAR/EAR compliance, licenses, and governance while partnering with senior stakeholders. You will build scalable frameworks, deliver targeted training, and act as the UK SME for audits, investigations

Qualifications

• Extensive trade compliance experience in aerospace/defence.
• Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR and UK export controls.
• Ability to develop scalable UK defence compliance frameworks and playbooks.
• Experience delivering training, audits, investigations and governance across teams.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe, with meetings in Northampton as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement UK trade compliance processes across defence operations.
• Lead ITAR/EAR compliance, export licences, and sanctions management.
• Create scalable defence compliance playbooks and governance frameworks.
• Deliver practical training and day-to-day guidance to teams.
• Act as the UK subject matter expert for audits, investigations and inspections.
