Matchtech is seeking a Trade Compliance Officer for a leading defence and aerospace organisation in Buckinghamshire, offering hybrid work. You will support import/export activities and ensure compliance with UK and US regulations, acting as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external bodies.

The role covers export classifications, licensing, screening, audits, and guidance across the business, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and timely delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in defence/aerospace or similarly regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of UK import/export legislation for defence products.
• Familiarity with US ITAR/EAR and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting export licensing and classification activities.
• Experience with ERP systems and compliance data management.

Aufgaben

• Maintain export classifications within the ERP system with accurate data.
• Update ERP records with export information, licence selection, and export approvals.
• Conduct supplier and customer screening in line with trade compliance.
• Ensure compliance with UK export control legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits by ECJU and HMRC, and regulatory reviews.
• Assist with ITAR, EAR and Dual-Use regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to purchasing, engineering and commercial teams on import/export matters.
• Maintain import/export registers and documentation for audits.
• Support trade compliance throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees on trade compliance issues.
