Job summary

Aspion is seeking a technically focused Technical Sales Engineer to join their growing team in the UK. This role combines engineering support, structural calculations, and technical solutions for building envelope systems with a customer-facing focus.

You will work with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to provide expert guidance on composite floor systems, roof decking, and façade solutions, while maintaining commercial focus and project opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience within structural/ construction engineering or technical support.
• Structural or civil engineering background is essential.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of composite floor systems, structural roof decking or building envelope products.
• Experience carrying out structural calculations and interpreting wind loading requirements.
• Experience using structural calculation software is highly desirable.
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical engineering solutions.
• Strong communication with customers and project stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness to identify project opportunities with customers.
• Self-motivated with organisational and project management skills.
• Comfortable working remotely while travelling to UK customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and engineering advice on composite floors, roof decking, and building envelope systems.
• Prepare structural estimations, calculations, and technical proposals in response to customer enquiries.
• Interpret structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Carry out manual structural calculations where required.
• Interpret wind loading regulations and structural design requirements to provide compliant solutions.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support projects from enquiry to completion with technically accurate, commercially viable solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations when required.
• Identify new project opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and commercial teams.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site visits across the UK.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and developments.
