Job summary

Cumberland Council is recruiting for a role in the Children’s Systems Development and Support Service to maintain and improve key systems. The role focuses on system reliability, data accuracy and staff support while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Based primarily from home, the position offers 37 hours per week with permanent contracts. You will join a team delivering services to Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils with TUPE implications as services evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in working with IT systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills; build strong relationships with colleagues.
• Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of LiquidLogic Children’s systems desirable.
• Understanding of relevant local authority legislation including GDPR and Information Security.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support to system users, resolve queries and elevate issues if necessary.
• Consult with relevant managers and staff in respect of business systems development.
• Design, develop and update forms.
• Provide technical support and training to staff.
• Assist with data entry, data quality checks and data cleansing tasks.
• Act as a point of contact for system users.
