Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Principal Product Manager to operate at the heart of major transformations for public and private sector clients across the UK and Ireland. You will shape strategy, own programmes, and work across disciplines to keep large, complex initiatives aligned and on track.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, data, and policy teams, running workshops to secure decisions and ensure value delivery with integrity and diplomacy. Flexible/remote working options are available.

Responsibilities

• Define and hold the vision for large programmes and align teams and suppliers to it.
• Own the organisational roadmap with priority setting and cross‑team coordination.
• Frame problems before solutions and ensure the programme solves the right problems at the right level.
• Champion user insights in all decisions to shape priorities and tradeoffs.
• Govern suppliers and partners, managing tensions and dependencies constructively.
• Navigate stakeholder conversations with diplomacy to protect relationships and outcomes.
• Collaborate across design, engineering, data, and policy teams as problem‑solvers.
• Run workshops and meetings that yield clear decisions and shared understanding.
• Shape incoming work by aligning with budget-holders and identifying high‑value opportunities.
• Drive progress by taking ownership and ensuring delivery milestones are met.
• Deliver with integrity, handling difficult conversations to stand behind the work.
