Job summary

Version 1 is recruiting a Principal Product Manager to drive strategic programmes across the UK and Ireland. You will shape vision at the programme level, hold the roadmap across multiple teams, and align diverse stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes for public and private sector partners.

You will champion user insight while governing suppliers, balancing priorities, and navigating complex politics to ensure responsible, high‑impact delivery within a dynamic government and client landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at programme scale with multi-team roadmaps and senior stakeholder governance.
• Ability to surface, prioritise and sequence work across large programmes.
• Ability to bring real user insight into decisions and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and hold the vision for the programme and reinforce it across teams and suppliers.
• Own the organisational roadmap, prioritise and communicate across teams, surface dependencies.
• Frame problems before solutions and ensure the programme solves the right problem at the right level.
• Champion the user and ensure user insight shapes priorities and trade-offs.
• Govern suppliers and partners to shared goals and resolve tensions constructively.
• Navigate with diplomacy across civil servant teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across design, engineering, data, policy to solve problems.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to reach decisions and understanding.
• Shape and secure incoming work by engaging budget-holders and crafting propositions.
• Drive progress and ensure delivery of objectives with integrity.
