Version 1, a trusted technology and transformation partner based in the United Kingdom, is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead senior-level programmes across public and private sectors in the UK and Ireland. You will shape strategy, manage complex roadmaps, and ensure delivery at scale, influencing design, engineering, data, and policy domains.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, oversee budgets and resourcing, and drive outcomes with integrity and strategic foresight.

Qualifications

• Defines and communicates programme vision and strategy across multiple teams.
• Manages roadmaps spanning dozens of teams and stakeholder groups.
• Leads with curiosity, empathy, and strong storytelling to align diverse perspectives.
• Balances user needs, business priorities, and technical constraints to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and hold the vision for large programmes, reinforcing it across teams and suppliers.
• Own the organisational roadmap; prioritise, surface dependencies, and make sequencing decisions.
• Frame problems before solutions and ensure the programme solves the right problem at the right level.
• Champion user insight in all decisions and trade-offs, even at scale.
• Govern suppliers and partners to ensure alignment with shared goals and budgets.
• Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with diplomacy and tact.
• Collaborate across disciplines to solve problems and drive outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings that yield clear decisions and shared understanding.
• Shape incoming work by engaging budget-holders and crafting compelling propositions.
• Drive progress to ensure the team delivers and milestones are met.
• Deliver with integrity, even when confronting difficult conversations.
