Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a senior consultant to own and coordinate NEC Housing Solution implementations across housing environments. You will translate policy into system behavior, advise customers, and lead cross‑module decisions.

You will engage with customers, mentor teams, and ensure design decisions are coherent and ready for live deployment, balancing policy requirements with system design across projects.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of NEC Housing Solution including configuration and module implementation.
• Experience with Housing environments (Local Authority Housing, ALMOs, Housing Associations).
• Experience in Consultancy with customer interaction and project methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ownership on design decisions and ability to problem-solve under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the full solution specific to the customer.
• Understand how all parts of the system work together.
• Ensure decisions in one area do not cause problems elsewhere.
• Take responsibility for overall solution coherence.
• Make and own design decisions.
• Act as the main functional authority for complex issues.
• Support senior customer conversations and decisions.
• Help explain complex topics clearly.
• Help decide if the solution is ready to go live.
• Focus teams on resolving the most important issues.
• Translate business policy into system behaviour.
• Work with customers to understand policies and requirements.
• Highlight risks where policy and system design don’t align.
• Provide leadership to customers and teams.
• Help manage cross-module issues.
