Job summary

KnowledgeBrief is seeking a Skills Coach to support adults on a Service Designer Level 6 apprenticeship. You will design learning experiences, coaching learners, and ensuring progress across the programme in a remote-first UK environment.

You will collaborate with line managers and curriculum teams, create learning plans, and help learners apply service design methods to real work, with an emphasis on user needs and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training, teaching or structured learning in service design.
• Qualified at Level 6 or above in Service Design or related field.
• Strong knowledge of service design including user-centred design, research and insight, journey mapping, prototyping and stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to plan learning, give constructive feedback and manage a learner caseload.
• GCSE English and Maths A*-C or 9-4 equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised coaching to adult learners and adapt support to their needs and workplace context.
• Create individual learning plans connecting on-the-job and off-the-job learning with line manager involvement.
• Hold monthly 30-minute coaching sessions and 6–8 week progress reviews.
• Develop and deliver engaging learning resources, group workshops and webinars.
• Track progress, set SMART goals and prepare learners for endpoint assessment with targeted feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records and monitor off-the-job learning requirements.
• Refer learners for functional skills support and contribute to standardisation meetings.
