Placements24 client is seeking a Senior Social Worker to lead child protection services in a fully remote capacity. You will oversee complex cases, mentor a team of social workers, and advocate for vulnerable children across Randburg and beyond in a remote-first environment.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, SACSSP registration, and 7+ years in child protection, with strong leadership, analytical, and virtual communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Registered with SACSSP in good standing.
• Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in social work, with child protection focus.
• Experience leading teams and supervising staff in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of complex child protection cases and provide expert intervention.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of social workers, ensuring best practices.
• Carry out risk assessments and develop protection plans for at-risk children.
• Collaborate with legal entities, schools, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.
• Deliver training on child protection issues and use of digital tools for case management.
