Job summary

Leaders in Care is partnering with a highly regarded South East England council to recruit an experienced Social Worker in Children in Care. You will lead long-term care planning, assess safeguarding concerns, and prepare high-quality reports, including for court proceedings, to promote stability and positive outcomes.

This role offers reflective supervision, a supportive management structure, and a flexible hybrid pattern with home-working encouraged.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience handling Children in Care cases preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a busy caseload.

Responsibilities

• Act as allocated social worker for children, young people, and UASC; lead long-term care planning.
• Assess and investigate safeguarding concerns, identifying risks and protective factors.
• Prepare high-quality reports, including for court proceedings, to support cases.
• Lead on specialist areas to support service improvement and reflect in supervision.
