Job summary

Data Kraken seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end technical delivery across data and software projects. You will own project roadmaps, manage client relationships, and drive cross-functional teams with autonomy.

The role requires strong Jira/Confluence expertise, a technical background in software delivery, and excellent communication. Expect regular travel to Oxford and an initial on-site induction with a Newcastle footprint planned.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of project management experience in a technical, software development, or data consultancy environment.
• Deep expertise in Jira & Confluence: Advanced mastery of Atlassian tools, including board setup, workflow configuration, metric reporting, and process automation.
• Technical background or strong familiarity with software/data delivery roles (e.g., Product Owner, BA, or Scrum Master).
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to translate complex concepts into client deliverables and robust documentation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end Project Delivery: Own complex, multi-stream data and software projects; facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming; ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Process & Jira Optimisation: Configure and maintain Jira dashboards and Confluence documentation; provide clear stakeholder reporting.
• Working Across Teams: Drive collaboration between data analysts, engineers, and executives; remove delivery blockers swiftly.
• Quality & Risk Control: Establish QA processes, risk mitigation, and define clear scope (Project Charters, SOWs).
