Job summary

Data Kraken is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end technical project delivery for data and software initiatives. You will own project roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage client relationships with a strong emphasis on delivery quality.

The role is remote from the Newcastle area with regular travel to Oxford and ongoing collaboration across our UK offices; you’ll work with Jira/Confluence, Agile practices, and a modern tech stack to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of project management experience within a technical, software development, or data consultancy environment.
• Advanced mastery of Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
• Hands-on background or strong familiarity with software/data delivery roles.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to produce robust project documentation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project delivery: own multi-stream data and software projects, facilitate sprint events, ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Process & Jira optimisation: configure dashboards, spaces, and Confluence docs to track velocity and provide stakeholder reporting.
• Coordinate across data analysts, engineers, and executives to align goals and remove blockers.
• Establish quality and risk frameworks, draft Project Charters and SOWs.
