Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Peer Support Worker to join the Southern Gambling Service (SGS). The role is part-time (22.5 hours) and predominantly remote, with occasional travel for training and meetings at Trust sites in Hampshire.

You will draw on lived experience of gambling recovery to offer hope and practical support, supervise the SGS Peer Support Team, and help co-develop evidence-based interventions across localities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, or agreed equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of working with people.
• Excellent understanding of Peer Support.
• Commitment to undertaking continual personal development.

Responsibilities

• Use personal experiences to promote hope and recovery and support people to feel in control.
• Be a key member of a small team of registered and peer support workers.
• Co-develop, review and co-deliver innovative evidence-based interventions.
• Supervise Peer Support Staff.
• Liaise with primary, secondary and community organisations and coordinate training as needed.
• Act as a recovery champion within the team and an ambassador for recovery.
