Job summary

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for a Band 5 Senior Peer Support Worker Supervisor. The role focuses on supporting peer workers in inpatient, acute and urgent care settings and relies on the candidate's lived experience of mental health challenges to promote recovery, hope and trauma-informed practice.

You will supervise and develop Peer Support Workers, helping them build confidence, reflect on practice and use experience safely.

Qualifications

• Candidates will have personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
• Experience in mentoring, supervising or coaching Peer Support Workers.
• Commitment to recovery-focused, trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Peer Support Workers across inpatient services.
• Provide individual and group supervision and reflective practice.
• Support training, group facilitation and the development of peer support roles.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen peer support across the Trust.
