Job summary

WorkWave seeks a Senior Applied Data Scientist / ML Engineer to turn raw data into products that improve customer decisions. This is a product-minded, owner-led role blending data science with engineering and delivery in a real product environment.

You will build data features, deploy models on AWS, and work with Snowflake/dbt to ensure robust pipelines, monitoring, and measurable outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in applied data science, ML engineering, or data engineering that included owning models in production.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with practical ML libraries for tabular data.
• Experience deploying and monitoring models in production, with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the problem framing and determine when ML is the right answer.
• Build data pipelines and features in Snowflake and dbt.
• Define offline/online evaluation, drift detection, and A/B tests to prove impact.
• Ship, monitor, and iterate models in production within product workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to embed ML into real products.
