Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer in the United Kingdom to own infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, and the systems powering critical services across multiple data centers.

You will work hands-on with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Linux, and observability tooling to build reliable and scalable infrastructure, spanning testing to production and incident response. This remote-first role emphasizes technical ownership and collaboration across product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps experience with Kubernetes, Git, and infra automation.
• Deep expertise with Ansible in complex environments and Terraform.
• Strong Linux, networking, and virtualization knowledge.
• Hands-on with Grafana, Prometheus, and Alertmanager for monitoring.
• Experience with Linux packaging formats (DEB, RPM) and Docker.
• Strong Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with web security and traffic distribution concepts.
• SQL and object storage workflows knowledge.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab CI/CD.
• Golang knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of IaC principles and end-to-end automated deployment pipelines.
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a remote-first mindset.
• Strong ownership and decision-making; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible and Terraform, focusing on reliability and automation.
• Plan, organize, monitor, and improve infrastructure performance across environments and data centers.
• Maintain, operate, and optimize existing infrastructure, deployment systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and improve automated deployment processes for applications across testing and production.
• Develop and maintain toolchains, workflows, and automation to reduce manual work.
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing for visibility and reliability.
• Participate in incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Document infrastructure, procedures, improvements, and decisions.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to scalability, availability, performance, and architecture decisions.
