Job summary

DoiT is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for a fully remote, full‑time position available in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Israel, with contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal also considered. You will build scalable cloud infrastructure, implement IaC, manage Kubernetes on GKE/EKS, and own CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent English, strong automation focus, and collaboration with distributed teams are essential.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands‑on coding experience.
6+ years of proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
Hands‑on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform.
Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure with automation.
Proficiency in Go or TypeScript and knowledge of data structures and defensive programming.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis and CI/CD best practices.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Extensive experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
Self‑organized, goal‑oriented, and able to work in a distributed remote team.
Prior experience on platform engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Act as an individual contributor, collaborating through code reviews and mentoring, supporting feature teams.
Architect, Design, and implement IaC using Terraform with reusable modules and tests.
Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS).
Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines, integrating Argo CD or Atlantis and optimizing deployment times.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues; contribute to incident response plans.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
Engage with development teams to translate infrastructure needs into platform features and roadmaps.
Contribute to internal platform products and APIs to boost developer productivity.
Enforce security practices and ensure SOC 2/GDPR compliance across the platform.
